Fund conversion and connection with Stellar
Fund conversion and connection with Stellar
The banking provider's virtual accounts can be used to receive funds in fiat currency and convert them automatically into cryptocurrency. The banking provider allows a virtual account to be configured so that funds received are converted into USDC on Stellar.
From fiat currency to USDC on Stellar
The main flows can be represented as follows:
- EUR / SEPA → Banking provider virtual account → USDC on Stellar
- USD / ACH-Wire → Banking provider virtual account → USDC on Stellar
In this way, a transfer received through the corresponding rail can be converted into USDC and sent to the Stellar address configured as the destination.
From USDC to fiat currency
The banking provider also allows transfers in the opposite direction:
- USDC → EUR / SEPA
In this case, the USDC is converted into EUR and the funds can be sent through SEPA.
Destination address and memo
In Stellar-related operations, a Stellar destination address can be specified. Where applicable, a memo can also be specified.
Reusable virtual accounts
The banking provider describes virtual accounts as addresses for fiat deposits that can be reused. USD virtual accounts provide the bank details needed for operations through ACH and Wire. EUR virtual accounts provide an IBAN for transfers through SEPA. The availability and conditions of each operation depend on the rail used and the rules applicable to the account.
